"Those conditions, whew, they were horrendous," Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward said after daylong rain and new sod created awful playing conditions. "The footing was bad, all of a sudden you'd hit a water puddle and sink down. Some of defensive backs were scared about falling down and giving up a big play."
The dream season stays alive. I must admit that I was nervous towards the end of the game. You had a feeling that a ball, or fumble, had to bounce Miami's way eventually. But no, further proving that destiny wants the symmetry of two perfect seasons (the Pats 16-0 vs. Miami's impending 0-16). Bright side, at least Miami gets the first pick in the draft. I'm almost pretty sure they won't screw it up.
