With a face like that.....

Mitt Romney scored his first major primary victory Tuesday in his native Michigan, a win he desperately needed to give his weakened candidacy new life and set the stage for a wide-open Republican showdown in South Carolina in just four days.

SURPRISE!! The guy who looks like he just sold you a Chrysler wins in Michigan. I'm pretty disappointed in the Great Lakes State. I'm not sure how a guy without a consistent message, who changes his mind every chance he gets, can get someones vote, let alone win a primary.

Let's be frank, Romney has a personality of a Geo Prism and he wears magic underwear because that's what snake-oil salesman turned prophet Joseph Smith told him to do. This win is a combination of the GOP not buying the 9/11 song and dance that Rudy is selling, and Fred Thompson not being the conservative savior many thought he would be. Wait, what happened to McCain? Oh yeah, he pulled a TO and tearfully conceded.

Politics is a wacky and wild mistress.

...And the band plays on

For the past few months the focus of this world renowned blog has been the world of sports. To comment on both the asinine and the great moments in all their splendor. Let's face it, sports only offers so much, and the same story lines exists within each sport and it can get very boring. Very, very boring.

So from now on I'll be expanding the scope of what is discussed from pop culture, to politics, to sports, and we'll be providing you with links to different sites as well. This will also give us more leeway in regards to sneaking in pics of smoking hot broads whenever possible. Like the lovely Miranda Kerr, who I just had to let down easy. She's all yours if your into that kind of thing.

As always, contributers are wanted, and needed. Holla......

The disillusioned speak.

I've never been one to hide my fandom, but I've always tried to be impartial when talking about teams and games, even the teams I despise, so I almost apologize if it looks like I'm piling on the Cowboys. Well, not really. Anyway, during a press conference yesterday Cowboy Coach Wade Phillips claimed that despite the outcome of the game, his team played better, and was the better team that day.
"After looking at the tape, I feel like the best team lost the game," he said. "I thought we outplayed them. But we lost. Certainly, that goes directly to the coach, and I accept that."

Oh Wade, yes, at times the better team loses. It happens all the time, and the Cowboys proved throughout the season that they are better than the Giants. hell, the proved to be the best team in the NFC. However, the team that plays a better game usually comes out with a win. The Giants Defense made some gutty and hard fought stops in that second half. Do you forget your team had the best offense in football this side of New England? With 47 seconds left in the first half, Manning and his offense marched down the field to score a TD to tie the game, and effectively bringing all the momentum to their side. Is that one of your examples of Dallas outplaying the Giants.

Phillips went on to talk about their 13-4 season, the NFL record 12 Pro Bowl selections, and he brought up that the team had four more wins than a year ago. He also mentioned that the team was eliminated a round deeper into the playoffs than last year, which is semantics. Dallas still lost their first playoff game, as they did last year.

I am assuming is his way of trying to say, "Please forget the guy who put this team together, and had a coaching style that many say was needed come post-season, I swear I can coach. Yes I am 0-4 as a head coach in the playoffs and he has 2 Super Bowl rings, but the last one was in the '90's!!"
Let's be frank here bub, you need to shut the eff up and call Joe Torre for lessons on how to address a season that had championship expectations written all over it, but fell short. I am by no means comparing Steinbrenner and Jerry Jones, (that would be like comparing Microsoft's top sales guy, with Mattress King's top seller for December in one of their Omaha branches), but I imagine that Jones finds very little solace in the 12 Pro Bowl appearances.

Last off-season Jason Garret was made the Offensive Coordinator, and many thought it was with the intent to give him 2-3 years of top level coaching before he took over the head coach position. Bringing in Wade Phillips was a perfect fit, as being seen as a guy that's smart enough not to fuck up a good thing, but not too smart where it would be hard to get rid of him a year or two from now when Garret is ready. Well, Jason Garret might be the coach of Baltimore or Atlanta within the next few weeks and there fore putting the kibosh on Jerry Jones' plan. You have to wonder, if Garret leaves, does Wade get the boot right behind him?

As per a previous post, here's the best thing Wade Phillips ever contributed.

Just a reminder......

TO is a crybaby.

No lucky horse-shoe for the Colts.

San Diego 28 Indianapolis 24

Peyton Manning thought he shed the "choke artist" tag when he led the Colts to a Super Bowl win last season. And then yesterday happened. Although he had a ton of help from his teammates.

The Colts Defense, led by NFL Defensive Player of the Year Bob Sanders, could not stop the Charger back-ups Billy Volek and Michael Turner from marching down the field and scoring the go ahead points. On the other side of the ball, the Colts did everything possible to not make a play. Those last two Colt drives, especially when they where down within the 20 late in the 4th quarter, was a mixture of bad play calling and terrible execution. Of course the Charger D had a say as well, they stepped up when it counted.

With the Colts, as I mentioned in an earlier post, they have a have a habit of taking their foot off the gas after they clinch their post-season standing. Outside of the Super Bowl run, they have been nothing but a post-season disappointment, seemingly not able to match the intensity of their opponent. When they made their bid a few seasons ago to go undefeated they never embraced it. They clinched home field only to watch the idiot kicker Vanderjagt's kick sail way wide right, and send them home. Without 18 magical minutes of play during last years play-off win against New England, we're talking about how Peyton Manning is the next Dan Marino.

Late season play is a big topic of discussion nowadays due to recent events, i.e., Romo in Mexico, the Giants playing a meaningless game at full speed, Tampa giving its starters two weeks rest, etc. I think it's a tricky situation and something only the coach, who should have the pulse of his team, should know how to handle based on timing and injuries. That being said, the Giants have played four high intensity games in a row and are now 1 game from the Super Bowl.

As far as the Chargers. Is there a more unlikable team this side or Terrell Owens? First, I feel I need to mention how much the Chargers have done within the SD community since the wild fires left thousands homeless. Off the field they have done what's expected of them. On the field, they are very hard to root for. When they win, or have a successful play, they act as if the just cured cancer, poverty, and the national debt all at once. When they lose, let's hark back to the Tomlinson press conference last season. This type of yapping goes on all year. They are as sore of winners as they are sore losers.

Despite how much they annoy me, I would like to see the Chargers give the Pats a game. Let's hope that Tomlinson, Gates, and yes, King of all Jackasses Philip Rivers can be healthy for the AFC Championship game. A march to the Super Bowl shouldn't be this easy.

Giants Do Dallas

The best weekend in football is upon us, the Conference Championships. Let's face it, the Super Bowl is usually a terrible game, and the high light of the evening is usually a snarky commercial that stars either some washed-up entertainer from the 70's, or a talking animal, and occasionally the the dumb best friend with stupid hair dating a hot chick because he uses a certain type of salsa. But I digress, let's recap this past weekend. I'll be doing each game in a separate post. Unless of course I get tired and lazy. Then I'll have my slave labor take time off from making designer wallets and fake NIKE's and step in for me.

Giants 21 Cowboys 17

The New York Giants are playing with house money from here on in. With two road wins, Tom Coughlin has proved that he truly has changed his coaching style, that he can coach this team, and more importantly has the team playing for him. Eli Manning has answered the inconsistency questions, and now has two wins under his belt. He's proved that he can lead a team on a high level, even without racking up the huge numbers.

The Giant Defense has also come through at big times. They exorcised the Jeff Garcia demons last week, and played big in the second half of the Dallas game. The secondary is vulnerable, but over the last two games they have been able to avoid giving up the big play. They are the epitome of a bend-don't-break defense.

For the season, their Quarterback finally came into his own and found his consistency. The young defense, along with a strong veteran presence, was able to get some traction and confidence, with a new defensive scheme under new Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. After Tiki Barber retired there were some questions involving the running game, but Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Derek Ward all showed they can contribute in big ways throughout a game. Regardless of what happens here on in, the Giants will be able to look back on this season as a successful one.

Perfect segue, the Dallas Cowboys on the other hand can only look back with disappointment. For most of the season they were the best team in the NFC, and with securing home field advantage, they had a clear path to the Super Bowl.

Bill Parcells put this Cowboy team together, and Wade Phillips was given the proverbial keys to the bus. All he had to do was not drive it off a cliff. In the early going Phillips was given a ton of credit for his lax attitude and that it led to the easy going, high level play of the Cowboys. It seems that loosey goosey style may have caught up with them towards the end of the season.

Tony Romo came into this league on fire, and as an undrafted free-agent he was able to play with no pressure and a lot of swagger. However, the second he signed that $60 million contract he became the franchise Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Not the overachieving kid having fun, and playing or the love of the game. Parcells has a check list he gives to his players, specialized to their positions. The one he gives to all Quarterback says "Do Not Become The Star Quarterback", which is supposed to keep the QB's humble and within the game. This was something Romo had taped to his locker. A few publicity stunts and a washed up pop-star later, (who by the way will need to stay far away from Dallas for the time being), this is something he seemed to forget.

Who knows if that trip affected the attitude and play of the Cowboys, at the very least it didn't help. The NFL post-season, like MLB, is revered more than other professional sports because of the small percentage of teams that make it. If I'm a team leader on offense or defense, or really a player in general, the last thing I'm thinking about going into a hard fought BYE week is taking a trip out of the country. Again, I can't be sure that the free spirited approach by the head coach and it's QB helped lead the Cowboys to their late season missteps. But this will be the most famous trip to Cabo in the history of the city of Dallas until Romo leads them to a win in the post-season.

For now, I'm not even going to comment on Terrel Owens crying while he defended Romo. I can only point out that it might be the first time he ever used the word team in a sentence. TO had a dominant season and Romo has to lend some of his success to Owens, and I am sure he does, but where was he in the second half? The Cowboys played with a ton of swagger throughout the season. They did a lot of talking, and for the most part backed it up but it will be interesting to see the approach they take during the off-season.

Big Blue

I'm going to take the night to soak the biggest Giant win since the 41-0 drubbing of the Vikings in the 2000 NFC Championship Game. In the meantime I will leave you with the following.......

Tonight its very clear
As were both lying here
Theres so many things I want to say
I will always love you
I would never leave you alone

Sometimes I just forget
Say things I might regret
It breaks my heart to see you crying
I dont wanna lose you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who will fight for your honor
Ill be the hero youre dreaming of
Well live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

Youll keep me standing tall
Youll help me through it all
I'm always strong when youre beside me
I have always needed you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who will fight for your honor
Ill be the hero youve been dreaming of
Well live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

Just like a knight in shining armor
From a long time ago
Just in time I will save the day
Take you to my castle far away

I am a man who will fight for your honor
Ill be the hero youre dreaming of
Were gonna live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

Well live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love

Say it ain't so Pete.

The Atlanta Falcons are interested in Southern California coach Pete Carroll for their head coaching job.

A person familiar with the team’s coaching situation told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the Falcons want to speak with Carroll, who is on vacation in Hawaii. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Falcons have not officially met with Carroll.

I would love to see a coach take the easy road for once. Pete, stay at USC. On one hand you can make these Falcon rumors true and go coach one of the worst franchises in the NFL, in a city with terrible heat, and that by and large hates sports. Yes, you don't have the greatest track record in your previous coaching run within the NFL, but let the sleeping dogs lie. Stay with the job in lovely Los Angeles at a school that will always be a top 5 college football program, is relatively stress free, and your surrounded by some of the hottest women on the planet. Yes, you can't partake in violating these young and unsuspecting women with your team, but it's fun none the less.

More reasons the NCAA is run by idiots.

The heir to Chad Henne's thrown as Quarterback for Michigan, Ryan Mallet, is leaving Ann Arbor due to the coaching change. Lloyd car will be bringing his pro style offense with him, while incoming coach Rich Rodriguez will be implementing the spread offense. For those who don't know, the spread offense requires a QB that can run slightly better than he can throw. Think the option with an occasional forward pass.

Anyway, the awesome and always reasonable rules of the NCAA will make Mallet ineligible to play next year, essentially delaying him for a year. Yes, he'll have three years left to play but missing a year in the ultra-competitive world of college sports is huge. The depth chart goes as deep as 9th string in some programs. This is exactly what happened to me when I was playing football. The coach left, I transferred, and boom my career was over. Plain and simple, I'm wasted talent.

Hey Goose, you big stud.

Rich "Goose" Gossage became only the fifth relief pitcher elected to the Hall of Fame, earning baseball's highest honor Tuesday on his ninth try on the ballot.

Known for his overpowering fastball, fiery temperament and bushy mustache, the Goose received 466 of 543 votes (85.8 percent) from 10-year members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Gossage was the only player voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in the 2008 ballot. Jim Rice, who has just one year remaining on the ballot, finished just 16 votes short of induction.

The fact that Jim Rice or Andre Dawson have yet to get into the HOF is a joke. Tim Raines, who is arguably the 2nd best lead-off hitter of all time should be in as well. This was his first year on the ballot, so hopefully by year 3 or 4 enough of the baseball writers will come to their senses.

Other notables include Mark Mcgwire, who received 23% of the vote might want to take interest in this whole Clemens fiasco. If Roger can clear himself in some way within the public forum McGwire might have a chance to sneak in. Personally, I don't think McGwire should get in, specifically because his career is based on steroids. Without them and he is Dave Kingman that makes slightly more contact. Jack Morris, like Andrew Dawson and Jim Rice, are victims of when they played. All should be in the Hall.

I love that guys like Travis Fryman get 2 votes, and Shawon Dunston and Chuck Knoblach get a vote each. At some point during their careers, they each were considered a top player at their position, if not the top. If there was a Hall of Fame for bloggers, I think I might end up like Jim Rice.

I'm a legend in my time, yet severly underrated.

Bowl Supremacy

I picked 24 of the 32 Bowl games, and went 16-7-1. Not to shabby if I do say so myself. My legal team told me to preface my picks with the cliched "for entertainment purposes only" comment. I hope I entertained you sufficiently. This is my victory dance.

Peace out playa.

Joe Gibbs is retiring for a second time. The Washington Redskins' Hall of Fame coach announced his decision early Tuesday. The team has called a press conference for 3 p.m EST.
Gibbs, 67, will continue to work for the Redskins as a special advisor to owner Dan Snyder. Gibbs' decision comes only a month after he said he was open to extending his existing contract.

This most recent play-off run aside, Gibbs really hasn't helped progress the Redskins in any way. Since returning to the Redskins, he has posted a 31-36 record, going 1-2 in the postseason.

First, here's a few Redskinettes (the 'Skins cheerleaders) in bikini's displaying there skankiness, because there's no reason to see another picture Gibbs. Secondly, Joe Gibbs is a good ole boy that likes his NASCAR fast, his spittoon cleaned twice daily, and his black superstars non-threatening. Needless to say the game has passed him by. No, I'm not saying that Joe Gibbs is a by-the-numbers racist southerner. I just like to pigeon-hole people by stereotypes. If you need me I'll be over here secretly running the world, and eating a bagel.

Yay, the BCS works [sarcasm]

Quarterback Matt Flynn threw two of his four touchdown passes while guiding the Tigers on four consecutive scoring drives in the first half. The run paved the way for LSU to capture its second national championship in four years and first in three seasons under coach Les Miles. The Tigers defeated Oklahoma 21-14 in the Superdome for the 2003 national title. It was the fourth time this season LSU rallied from a 10-point deficit.

"We had to keep playing," Flynn said of the early hole the Tigers were in. "We knew they were going to come out with a big surge. We knew we just had to stay in there and keep playing our game."

So, are we done with Ohio State yet? I think the Buckeyes are a solid program but they've had two shots to reign supreme and whiffed hard on both. Each time there were other teams waiting in the wings, claiming that they should have gotten a chance at the title. Last year the Buckeyes deserved to play for the title. This year, not so much. Georgia and USC, are at least two teams that should have been playing in this game.

This brings us back to the same old argument about a playoff system. Let's face it, it's not going to happen. College football is to wrapped up in it's own traditions, and more importantly, the tons of money those traditions generate.

All the good ole Bowl games that people like Brent Musberger and Lee Corso know and love are dead. First off, there's 32 effin games. Simple math shows that 64 teams play, which is over half the D1 teams. How special can a bowl game be when there are teams at .500 playing. The conference affiliation to bowl games is gone. When the Rose Bowl tried to revive the old Pac 10 vs. Big 10 rivalry with USC/Illinois, it was a disaster in terms of what happened on the field.

My favorite excuse against the playoff system is "the kids have to prepare for finals, they're student/athletes." That makes me chuckle as 30+ FSU students are suspended for cheating, and we watch countless recruits roll around in $50,000 SUV's and sport diamond earrings.

Exorcise those demons.

The Giants moved to 8-1 away from home with a dominating 24-14 NFC-wild-card playoff victory over the Buccaneers. The younger Manning, who turned 27 on Thursday, recorded his first playoff win in his third postseason start and fourth year as the Giants' starter. It took Peyton Manning six seasons and four attempts to get his first postseason triumph.

"This was a great game, a playoff game, a lot of pressure on him and he stood in there," Giants defensive end Michael Strahan said of his Manning. "You couldn't ask anything more from him and I think it was a great performance by Eli."

The Giants are fortunate they play the games and don't follow what the so-called experts say. Despite a 9-7 record while playing in arguably the worst division in football, everybody seemed to pick the Buccaneers. Most of the reasoning went to the annoying "Patriots hangover", Tampa Bay Quarterback Jeff Garcia's 2-0 record against the Giants in the playoffs, and of course the inconsistency of Eli.

With this playoff win, both Eli Manning and Giant coach Tom Coughlin, silenced their critics and secured their position within the Giants organization, despite of what happens in the game next week against Dallas.

Lock up the white hoochies in Tampa, Strahan is partying.

Wild Card Sunday

More significant football. I was getting to used to having pretend interest in the Hellman's Mayonnaise Bowl in Fargo, South Dakota.

New York (10-6) at Tampa Bay (9-7) - Full disclosure, I am a Giant fan. Now that my bias is in full view, can we please find a so-called expert picking the Bucs that isn't using terms like "Patriots hangover" or "the Giants will find it hard to match that emotion." Idiots.

I side with the train of thought that says playing a football game is better than resting your players. Just look at the Colts, up until last year of course. For years, they would clinch the playoff spot by week 12 or 13, rest Peyton and their gaggle of stars, and then BOOM, first round playoff loss. I mention this because Coughlin has been getting heat for playing his Giant players last week against the Patriots. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Tampa coach Jon Gruden has been resting all of his players, including QB Jeff Garcia who hasn't played since the first half of Week 16.

Why I think the Giants can win. Jeff Garcia has beaten the Giants twice in the playoffs since 2003, with the Niners and Eagles respectively. Let's face it though, this is a different Giants defense. They are faster, more aggressive, and their front seven is dominant. Tampa won their division with a 9-7 record. Oh yeah, this is the worst division in football, FYI. The Giants, they played Dallas twice, an emotional Redskin team, the Eagles while they were playing the best football in the NFL, the Packers, a red hot Minnesota, and of course the Patriots. They Giants are a tested team that can play a high level of football. In the Bucs case, while it's not their fault, you can't really judge your team by playing the Falcons.

Why I think the Bucs can win. Like I had mentioned in my post regarding the Jags-Steelers game, it's scary when you go into a game with your X-Factor being you QB, in this case Eli Manning. If the Bucs can force Eli into turnovers they will have a better than great chance of winning.

Tennessee (10-6) at San Diego (11-5) - You have to love a game that matches up two teams that hate each other. The Chargers love to talk, and the Titans love to answer with prototypical smash mouth football.

Why I think San Diego can win. They have the best RB in football. They have the best TE in football. There front seven is dominant. That enough of a reason? Oh yeah, the Titans franchise Quarterback Vince Young might not play today.

Why I think the Titans can win. With all the great players that the Chargers have, you are only as strong as your weakest link, and their weak links are the QB and head coach Norv Turner who is 1-9 in playoff games. The Titans are well coached with Jeff Fisher, and they are always in the ball game. Fisher and his defense will try and find a way to make the Chargers QB Philip Rivers have to beat them, and in that vein, make big mistakes. Once again, it's scary when your teams X-Factor is the QB, as it is with the Chargers.

I'm rooting for the Titans here. As I mentioned, the Chargers talk too much. They dance and talk smack when they win. When they lose, they cry about the other team dancing and talking smack. Big babies. They don't deserve the $5,000 a night hookers they sleep with.

Take Your Daughter To Work Day

This is the Dallas Cowboy's head coach Wade Phillips' daughter, Tracy Phillips, and she is by far the best thing to come from the Phillips (Former Oiler head coach Bum, and Wade) family. The 3-4 defense be damned. I'm sure a few of the Dallas players would love to wife-beat her.

Effin Tom Brady

The New England Patriots record-setting quarterback drew all but one vote Saturday in romping to The Associated Press 2007 NFL MVP award in the same manner his team romped through its schedule, going 16-0. On the way to the first unbeaten regular season since Miami went 14-0 in 1972, Brady put on a performance for the ages.

"I have always been a huge football fan and will always have great respect for the history of this game," Brady said. "I am grateful to all of the voters for any consideration I was given. It is a tremendous honor and I am sure it is one that my family will one day look back on with great pride."

My god, it just doesn't end with this guy. Let's compare the life and achievements of Tom Brady with yours truly. Here we go.

Tom Brady

  • 3 Super Bowl Rings

  • Super Bowl MVP

  • 2008 NFL MVP

  • Starting QB for 16-0 2008 Patriots

  • Record holder for most TD's thrown in a season with 50

  • Dates Victoria Secret super model Gisele Bundchen

  • Used to date model/actress Bridgette Moynahan

Lee

  • Writes for this awesome blog to feel important.

  • Has the ability to grow a majestic beard.

  • Excellent dental hygiene.

  • Pretends to date models and aspiring actresses.

Well, I think we all know who wins out in this comparison. If you need me I'll be over here quietly sobbing.

Wild Card Saturday

So it begins, the best month of football. The recent parity within the NFL has made it so that the games leading up to the Super Bowl are usually competitive and down to the wire. From my point of view I think we can be looking at at least 3, maybe 4, tight and entertaining football games.

Washington (9-7) at Seattle (10-6) - The Redskins are riding a wave of emotion off of Sean Taylor's death, and with Todd Collins at QB, are playing smart and hard nosed football featuring their running game. On the other hand, the Seahawks have all but abandoned their banged up running game and pass whenever possible. Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck is more than capable of handling this workload with WR's Branch, Burelson, and Engram. To say that the Seahawks offense is one-dimensional is an understatement.

The weather will definately be a factor. The forecast is for showers and high winds with the temperature in the low 40's, feeling like mid-30's with those aforementioned high winds. This is great news for the Redskins who, despite their talented receivers (Moss, Cooley, Randle-El) can keep the ball on the ground and be successful with Portis, Betts, and the occasional end around to Randle-El and short WR screen to Moss. Seattle can not run, and with high winds might find it hard to move the ball.

Many times you'll go into a game thinking that the weather will be a huge factor, and it's not. I'm not sure this'll be one of those games. I think the Redskins can pull this one out.

Jacksonville (11-5) at Pittsburgh (10-6) - Jax is the team that Pitt and SD didn't want to play in the first round, and why they played hard after securing a play-off birth to get that 3rd seed. Pitt lost their last game of the season, and now find themselves with the 4th seed and playing the most feared team this side of the Pats.

Jacksonville features a two headed running game with veteran RB Fred Taylor, who could very well be the most underrated player in the history of the NFL, and everybody's favorite fantasy sleeper Maurice Jones-Drew. Jaguars QB David Garrard's performance in this game could be the X factor, and I'm not sure how well it bodes for a team when your QB is the wild card.

Pittsburgh's defense has Troy Polamalu healthy and is extremely physical, and while that type of play bothers most teams I don't think Jacksonville is one of them. Like Jax, Pitsburgh likes to run before passing, but they lost Willie Parker for the year. Najeh Davenport is now the feature back and while he's a strong runner, he's much more effective as the change-up second back.

I think we have a big possibility of seeing two road wins this Saturday.

David Wright is charitable.

Thursday night on the Celebrity Apprentice, (damn this Writers strike), Mets start third baseman David Wright made an appearance.

For the handful of you who didn't watch this 60 minutes of suspense and drama, this is how it broke down. The teams were competing to make the most money from selling hot dogs on the street in NYC. Some of the celebrity contestants called a few of their high-profile contacts, asking them to come down and make donations. One of the contestants is Jennie Finch, the star softball pitcher for Team USA, she had David’s number and gave him a call. Wright came down and bought the remaining hot dogs to be given out to people on the street. All proceeds went to charity.

Factoring in Wrights growing notoriety as an NY area lady-killer, and considering that some of these "celebrities" are aging-but-still-hot Carol Alt, Playmate Tiffany Fallon, and of course Jennie Finch, I'm really just surprised that David didn't stop to have sex with some of these lovely ladies. I'm sure former-hot chick Marilu Henner wouldn't have said no. As a Met fan I have no idea how to feel about this, except that I like his track jacket. Very stylish. Here's a clip from the show, and of course a picture of Ms. Fallon.

The Sweet Science

A South Korean boxer who lost consciousness after winning an WBO intercontinental flyweight bout last week has been declared brain dead.

Choi Yoi-sam was declared brain dead Wednesday after a series of brain tests, said Ko Seung-kwan, a spokesman at Asan Medical Center. Choi had been in a coma since shortly after winning the fight against Indonesian challenger Heri Amol in Seoul on Dec. 25.

In 1982, South Korean lightweight Duk Koo Kim died four days after being knocked out by Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini in a title fight in Las Vegas. Another South Korean fighter, bantamweight Lee Tong-choon, died of acute swelling of the brain in 1995, four days after losing consciousness following a fight against Setsuo Kawamasu in Tokyo.

Wow, at least he won the fight. I'd hate to see what happened to the other guy. ZING! Seriously folks, that sucks. South Korean's should stay out of the ring. It should be illegal to wear boxing gloves in Seoul. The only way to celebrate Choi Yoi-sam's life is to put up a pic of some South Korean hottie. I think a Japanese chick would be more interesting. All I know is that the weird porn comes from Japan. Sick bastards.
